THE TEAM
Our facility has undergone some changes! In August 2022, the former Spirit Equestrian was sold to new owners Allyson and Todd Aldrich. It has been renamed Fox Canyon Farm Equestrian Center, after a lovely citrus grove nearby.
ALLYSON & TODD ALDRICH
Owners
Allyson is an amateur dressage competitor of 17 years and current co-chair of the Santa Barbara Chapter of the California Dressage Society. Todd is a retired business attorney, and President of the Board of the Santa Barbara Choral Society, and a board member of several other local non-profits.
Allyson and Todd are committed to maintaining and improving the center’s facilities and quality of care for the horses, their owners, and trainers.
LARISA & JACK MANTOR
General Managers
Larisa and Jack Mantor jointly provide general management of the facility. They reside on the property, so are able to provide 24/7 supervision.
Larisa has extensive experience in barn management, and is a successful instructor and trainer of over 30 years. Jack is a professional contractor, and oversees new construction and maintenance.
MARTIN FERREL
Facility Manager
The staff is headed by our invaluable Facilities Manager, Martin Ferrel. Martin also lives on the property with his wife Patricia, and does night checks and routine security. He's a diplomat and a comedian, a master chef for our barn parties, and he can fix anything.

Most of our support staff have worked on the property for many years. From feeding to cleaning, dragging arenas to stacking hay and a hundred other tasks – they are the backbone of Fox Canyon Farm.
